Annual Function - 2023
Theme - 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'
Deoghar, 24th December 2023 : The Students of primary segment (CDC and students of classes I to V) of St. Xavier's High School celebrated their Annual Function of academic year 2023 on the theme of global interest and unity - "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam". It was a show solely conceptualized and designed on the Idea of Prioritizing the collective well - being over individual or family interests. The function was executed by the students and faculty members of the school.
The Occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Sanjeet Ray, honorable Secretary of school, Dr. N. Santhosh Kumar, respected Principal, and staff members of the sister concerns. The day commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and the grandparents of the students accompanied with Vedic Mantra uchcharan by the school choir group followed by Saraswati Vandana. The speech delivered by Principal sir made each one present there feel proud of their association with the school.
The cultural events was set rolling by evoking the blessings of the grandparents and parents who were the chief guests of the function. The day progressed witnessing the memerising events like - skit on "Bharat Vishvaguru", "Family Values" and "Jaga Huwa Bharat", Kalbelia Dance, dance on Vasudhaivya Kutumbakam, Bihu Dance and Manipuri Dance were the prime attractions. The idea of universal brotherhood was not limited to the human kind but was extended to the flora and fauna as well. This idea was expressed beautifully by the performance of students of classes I & II. The breath taking dramatic journey culminated with the prize distribution to the outstanding performers of the day. The spectacular grand finale dance, paying homage to the idea of cosmopolitanism left the audience spellbound. The function not only enchanted all but it also brought to the fore the latent talent of students and the coordination of the teachers and school authority. The event, taking inspiration from the theme of G20 Summit and the visions of honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, became a perennial source of Knowledge and has unlocked positivity and inner goodness of the spectacles present in the function.
